  • LIFE UPDATE: March and April

    Exhibitions, painting, and more exhibitions!

It’s officially summer! At least in my eyes; despite it raining as I write this, the weather has gorgeous recently. The months have been flying by so it’s only right I create a post updating recent events I have had.

In early March I had an opportunity to exhibit my work in The Royal Standard, Liverpool. It was great to see my painting (Rhianna and Elisa) in a different space to the studio, and hung up amongst other works created by my friends and others on my course. I definitely learnt a lot about how I should be presenting my work from here on, and noticed things in my painting that needed adjusting, that I never would’ve seen in the studio.

Below are some images of the show: Public, Standard.

After this I went straight back to the studio, knowing exactly what I wanted for my degree show. The past month has been chaos putting it all together, creating proposals, making the right stretchers, and painting like theres no tomorrow.

I wish I could now say I have finished it all, but the next week is bringing even longer days to finalise all my paintings for the show! Regardless of the stress it’s a very exciting time; nearing the big final exhibition to show off my paintings. In exactly a week we begin the transformation turning the studios into an exhibition space, so watch this space for more updates relating to the opening!

I’ve been loving creating visual content to document the process of these works, as well as other exciting bits going on (such as a Kaytranada concert later this week ;), it’s not allllways just painting), so if you’re interested in this follow my TikTok- Ceesarsalad, and my Instagram- Ceesarsaladart. I have lots of ideas to make fun content in the following months around my practice.

A short one today, but that is all I have for my update, life has been very fine art oriented lately!

Keep an eye on my Portfolio tab to see what I make over the coming few weeks.
